From Southern California, a solid collection of entrepreneurial advice
11/6/2000
Formed in 1994 as an advisor to the Southern California investment, technology, and start-up community, larta (the Los Angeles Regional Technology Alliance) offers, via its Web site, information of value beyond its region. A highlight is the "Entrepreneur's Toolbox," a collection of useful ideas on topics from business plans to building a team to "creating a buzz." The "Knowledge Center" presents larta reports, some for sale but many available to download. Among the best: a 150-page guide to federal technology funding, and a survey of senior management compensation in technology companies. Other sections provide news and links to more sites on the subject. One of many regional sites focusing on entrepreneurship, this one is a standout for quality content and broader relevance.
