11/5/2001
In The Company of Women, written by organizational consultants Pat Heim, Ph.D. and Susan Murphy, Ph.D., (with additional contributions from Susan Golant) demonstrates how conflicts between colleagues can be transformed into productive working alliances. Heim and Murphy have devoted their careers to studying gender dynamics in the workplace. This book focuses particularly on the unique characteristics that exist among the behavior of women in corporate settings, and uses the latest research from a variety of fields including brain structure, evolution, and socialization to shed light on this topic. The authors challenge readers to explore their own personalities and behavioral tendencies while giving insight into techniques and strategies for building successful relationships.
