If corporate procedure matters to you, take a look at the American Society of Corporate Secretaries Web site. This trade association is devoted to issues of corporate governance, records management, securities regulation, proxy solicitation, and other duties of the corporate secretary's office. The Web site is a great way to keep in touch with the regulatory landscape through its newsbytes and on-line newsletter. Find the latest releases from the SEC and read the statement from the Big Five accounting firms relating to the collapse of energy giant Enron. Browse the list of Society publications in the areas of securities law compliance, corporate governance, and shareholder relations. Parts of the site are for members only, but it's worth a visit.
