The right way to outsource software development.
5/3/2004
A hot (and touchy) topic, outsourcing software development to India and other countries is nonetheless an established practice. So, how to do it effectively and sensitively? The authors, engineering and informatics professors and lecturers from Norway, the U.K., and India, based the book on a series of case studies looking at the relationships between firms from North America, the U.K., Japan, and Korea with Indian software houses. They explore Global Software Work (GSW) from both vantage points: outsourcers and outsourcees, or software producers. Though not a how-to book, questions are provided so that readers can answer based on their own specific context.Wendy Guild Swearingen
