Consumer trends: the numbers and the meaning behind them
    10/12/1999
Consumer trends and their impact on and use in consumer marketing are the focus of this site from American Demographics magazine. At the heart of the site is an electronic archive of the monthly print publication, with articles on markets, product segments, economic conditions, technological change, and other topics as they affect consumers, the products and services they buy, and the people and companies that sell to them. There are plenty of numbers here, but there are also concise explanations of what those numbers mean. A sister magazine, the more marketing-specific Marketing Tools, unfortunately is no longer published, but articles from it are still available on the site. You can browse issues of both publications back to 1995 or use the site's search engine to retrieve articles (from as far back as 1993) on topics that interest you. The site also includes a marketing bookstore and a database of international trade shows, conferences, and seminars.
