"Achieving Supply Chain Excellence Through Technology"
    10/2/2000
How is the supply chain changing amid the revolution of the Information Age? Leading supply chain thinkers and practitioners offer answers in this extensive Web site (and a companion book). It's a far-reaching collection of white papers, case studies and other resources, drawn from both business and academia and gathered by Montgomery Research and Andersen Consulting. The project, now in its second volume, is organized into four chapters ("The Path Forward," "Supply Chain Innovations," "Industry Perspectives," and "Making It Happen"). There is great depth and breadth here, offering insight into the future of the supply chain and guidance for companies that want to move with the times. "The rapidly evolving customer service expectations generated by the e-commerce environment can only be met by superior supply chain performance," writes David Andersen of Andersen Consulting in the preface. ASCET, he continues, presents "the best thinking of academics and business professionals on how this can be achieved—through the careful balance of strategic, technological, and process innovation."
