Words of wisdom from a Wall Street maverick.

This is a bit of a controversial choice: Since Weisel co-wrote this book about himself, it's not too surprising it's a pretty flattering portrait. But the payoffs here are Weisel's business tips and advice on a range of matters. He built Montgomery Securities into a powerhouse and helped bring many influential companies public including Amgen, Siebel Systems, and Yahoo. (He later started Thomas Weisel Partners.) So when he talks about how to choose investors and how to bring a company public, he speaks with authority. A good read for those interested in start-up financing or entrepreneurship.
