Capitalizing on Conflict: Strategies and Practices for Turning Conflict into Synergy in Organizations: Manager's Handbook

Conflict can be productive, if managed correctly.
    7/8/2002
Unlike many of the conflict management books written today, Capitalizing on Conflict does not offer the usual dose of how to avoid or resolve conflict. Instead the authors, who are experienced conflict management practitioners, acknowledge that conflict is not always counterproductive if managed effectively. Emphasizing that best practices for conflict management should be incorporated into the overall human resource strategy, the authors present a framework for managers at all levels to incorporate into their own styles. The book encourages managers to empower employees so that they can determine ways to resolve conflict on their own instead of relying on draconian management policies that do not necessarily fit every situation.
