    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/discussion/2006/01/04/DI2006010401219.html
Advice from Harvard Business School's Linda Hill.
    1/16/2006

HBS professor Linda Hill's book Becoming a Manager is a business management classic, describing the often-difficult transition from team member to team leader. Hill recently offered career advice on a Washingtonpost.com interactive forum.

The transcript includes Hill's advice on a variety of subjects including managing employees older than you, managing friends, dealing with workers who don't like each other, what to tell your current boss when you apply for another job, and how to offer advice to a new manager.

Hill is the Wallace Brett Donham Professor of Business Administration at HBS and chair of the Organizational Behavior unit.
