Industry-academia collaboration on current human resource issues
    11/20/2000
The Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies (CAHRS) at Cornell University is a fine example of industry-academia partnership, bringing together representatives of major corporations with "faculty, students and intellectual leaders" for an exploration of human resource issues. The CAHRS Web site provides information about the Center and serves as a vehicle for disseminating the research conducted there. The working paper series is particularly rich in content, covering current issues impacting human resource management. Recent topics include: the effective use of multimedia distance learning technology; the HR-firm performance relationship; and the human capital impact on e-business. Working papers back to 1994 are available in PDF format. CAHRS also publishes a bimonthly newsletter, hrSpectrum (archived on the site in PDF format), mixing news of the Center with more general reports on the latest developments in HR research, teaching, and employment.
