    Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment

How collaboration among your value chain partners can boost everyone's bottom line.
    8/26/2002
This edited volume looks at the concept of Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR), which is defined as second-generation Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) on the supply side. In short, the book presents methods for getting partners throughout your supply chain to work together and further streamline business processes. CPFR case studies in North America and Europe are highlighted. As editor Dirk Seifert, a Harvard Business School professor, observes, "The prospect of enormous potential savings on the one hand, and growth through the avoidance of out-of-stocks on the other fascinates manufacturers and retailers equally."
