A "virtual classroom" on the hows and whys of today's advertising business
11/27/2000
This "virtual classroom" sponsored by the Yellow Pages Publishing Association does a terrific job of collecting a wide variety of information that tackles a specific topic, which changes monthly, and assembling it in four easy-to-digest segments. These segmentsDevelopments, Campaigns, Insight, and Researchpresent well-rounded views of current themes in the world of advertising through articles, videos, and audio clips. (Recent updates, for example, have focused on new techniques for evaluating ad effectiveness, advertising for children, and the design and promotion of sweepstakes.) Though created for advertising students and their teachers, its broad scope is likely to appeal to professionals, too. Despite the novelty of the content's approach, do note that site navigation could politely be described as uninspired; look forward to miles of scrolling. To get inside, click "Current Case" on the bottom of the front page.
