An anthropologist's look at creativity and innovation.

The central thesis of Digital Aboriginal is that the flow of technology-driven information results in a world that is more "primitive," where people stay connected in a direct way through impressions, stories, and images. The authors examine how innovative corporations have profited from forging new assumptions about ownership, intellectual capital, innovation, reward, individuals, groups, and companies. Despite the yearnings for security and responsible corporate governance that the economic downturn and sensational reports of executive greed have inspired, the book is thought-provoking. It will be interesting to pick up Digital Aboriginal again in six months to see whether the pendulum has swung again.
