This Web site, amply illustrated with vintage photos, offers a fascinating introduction to the creation and evolution of early office machinery. Divided into subject areas such as "Typewriters" and "Pencil Sharpeners," the site offers a rich assortment of text and pictures tracing the development, innovation and growth of these key office inventions. One of the site's most appealing sections consists of photographs of typical offices from the 1860s through the 1940s. These pictures vividly illustrate how offices evolved to somehow contain the all the new information and paper generated.
