Exploring ergonomic concepts and regulations in the workplace
    2/26/2001
This destination Web site is designed to keep professionals informed of the latest news and issues on the topic of ergonomics. With the recent adoption of the OSHA standard regarding ergonomics, ErgoWeb is an especially timely source for answers to questions regarding regulatory effects and implications. Click "Standards Watch" on the front page to get started. In the "ErgoWeb Resource Center," click "Case Studies" for more than 50 real situations presenting ergonomics risks. Each case includes a task description, ergonomic risk factors, administrative or design solutions, comments, vendor information, and before-and-after illustrations. The "Reference Materials" link leads to more than 3,000 book and journal listings and links to related professional associations. The "Introduction to Ergonomics" section is particularly valuable, offering a concise history of ergonomics and an explanation of ergonomic concepts. It also includes glossary of related terms and a list of frequently asked questions.
