Global Teams:<br>How Top Multinationals Span Boundaries and Cultures with High-Speed Teamwork

    High-speed teamwork, international style.
    10/22/2001
As our everexpanding global business community evolves, the need for teamwork couldn't be more important. To take on this challenge requires people to acquire a better understanding of how to operate and communicate in new and diverse cultural business environments. Authors Marquardt and Horvath offer a twelve-step strategic guide on how to "connect the best ideas and people from all over the world who deliver the services and products demanded by global customers." Using lessons learned by companies such as Glaxo-Wellcome, Colgate-Palmolive, and Marriott, they illustrate how organizations clear the hurdles of geographical boundaries, time zones, and cultural diversity. Examples of helpful worksheets, agendas, and checklists are presented and recommended as the tools necessary to help global teams turn thought into action.
