Guiding Change Journeys: A Synergistic Approach to Organization Transformation

    Peter Drucker meets Joseph Campbell.
    3/25/2002
What do you get when you mix organizational change theory with Joseph Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces? A unique approach that challenges managers to think of their organizational development efforts as mythic journeys, complete with demon trials, Karmic change, and "Sacred Canopies." The author details eight "change journeys" to help readers sharpen and rethink their transformation skills. Yes, this is a little off the beaten management path, but therein lies its interest. If you are tired of "more of the same" approaches to initiating change in your organization, this work might provide some insight, or at least some food for thought, to get your batteries recharged.
