IBM's history site offers many surprisesincluding its company rally song "Ever Onward"

With roots back to 1911, IBM has played a pivotal role in the development of business technology. Now Big Blue is putting some of its archives and other historical data online, an intriguingbut also frustratingresource for anyone interested in the company or technology in general. Click on "Catalog" in the left navigation bar and you'll be greeted with several thousand categorized summaries of documents ranging from magazine stories about the company's business initiatives to a speech delivered at the 1976 stockholders meeting. The frustration? To get to the actual documents, you have to fill out a form (including home address), and wait to be contacted. And much of the archive is still under construction. The real fun starts with the History of Innovation section, which includes a fascinating multimedia timeline. This site bears regular re-checking as it grows.
