Idealist.org's mission is "To find practical solutions to social and environmental problems, in a spirit of generosity and mutual respect." It sounds too good to be true, but in reality, this site serves a growing need for people who don't want to put boundaries around their search for the bestfitting nonprofit careers. Although this site is most useful from a personal perspective—users can get information on 20,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 150 countries, and visit a Career Center listing openings and fellowships around the world—businesses can also profit in terms of networking and creating collaborations of shared interest with likeminded colleagues in other parts of the world. There's also a special section for students and teachers to get them thinking about global implications for social enterprises and nonprofits.
