Country reports on national IT environments
5/23/2000
Information technology, of course, is critical to any nation's ability to fully participate in the global economy today. Stages of IT development vary greatly from nation to nation and each takes its own unique course with its own unique business implications. Information Technology Landscape in Nations is a collection of detailed country reports looking at different nations' information technology environments in the areas of telecommunications, Internet, labor, regulation, policy, and national technological competencies. The reports were prepared by second-year MBA students in a class taught since 1995 in the Management of Global Information Technology program (MGIT) at the Kogod School of Business at American University. The design, organization, quality and timeliness vary, but despite these inconsistencies, the reports are often excellent compilations of data, analysis, and links covering over 50 countries from all regions of the world.
