Keep or Sell Your Business: How to Make the Decision That Every Private Company Faces

Guidance on making the keep/sell decision.
    9/4/2001
When starting a business, most entrepreneurs do not think beyond trying to make the company successful. But owners of thriving private or family-owned businesses would profit by turning to Keep or Sell Your Business to plan next steps. Cohn and Pearl clearly lay out the considerations that go into the keep/sell decision and provide advice on how to implement either decision successfully. The authors go beyond liquidation of the company to provide an outline of considerations and alternatives for investing the proceeds, and discuss the issues faced by an individual whose time is no longer consumed by 'the company'. The book is clearly written, and includes sample worksheets and forms.
