Lost Labor: Images of Vanished American Workers 1900-1980 features 155 photographs taken from increasingly rare published corporate histories and technical brochures that document America's industrial and corporate development over the course of the century. Organized by Raymon Elozua, a visual artist, this Web site is rich in powerful and riveting images of men and women at work. These images provide an intimate look at the American workplace and worker, and in many cases document factories, equipment, and jobs that no longer exist. Organized by industry type such as Steel, Textile, and Services, the site is well organized and easy to navigate, allowing the viewer to become absorbed in these evocative images of America's industrial past.
