    Making I/T Work: An Executive's Guide to Implementing Information Technology Systems

    Why are billions of dollars wasted annually on botched information technology implementations? One answer, according to authors Severance and Passino, is a disconnect between a company's visionary goals and its actual operating performance. To connect the two, Making I/T Work offers a framework consisting of two models: The "Business Architecture" model outlines how strategic choices might result in changes to business operations, and the "Journey Management" model identifies events to follow in order to bring about such changes. The book blends the experiences of ten corporate research centers to present a hypothetical case on how to implement large scale IT systems.
