    Mastering Import and Export Management

Forms, security practices, and everything else you need to know about international shipping.
    9/6/2004

This publication provides practical information of general use to importers and exporters, especially ones dealing with the United States. The first section details the global supply chain, the second is devoted to export operations, with the third section covering import operations. Each section is filled with information and tips for managers regarding dos and don'ts, documentation, and suggested procedures.

The comprehensive appendix dominates two thirds of the volume and is packed with a variety of information including a glossary, definitions of key terms, and contact information for organizations and government export assistance centers in the U.S.

Probably one of the most useful aspects of the appendix is examples of completed forms and special documents of note such as the Shipper's Export Declaration and the World Trade Organization Agreement on Rules of Origin. An accompanying CD-ROM provides over 200 pages of additional information and regulations.—Cynthia D. Churchwell
