Storytelling for business leaders.

The art of storytelling is as old as the hills. But the idea is reinventing itself in the most surprising places. The Web site for the twenty-five year old National Storytelling Center provides articles for managers on topics ranging from using stories to spark organizational change to the role of stories in knowledge management. The site also includes a selective bibliography on storytelling and aspects of leadership and management including mentoring, organizational development, and customer relations. Another Web site, Storytelling: Passport to the 21st Century, provides insight from leading management thinkers including John Seely Brown and Katalina Groh. So while your story might not have the grandeur of the Iliad, it still can be a meaningful way of communicating and learning.
