P2P: How Peer-to-Peer Technology Is Revolutionizing the Way We Do Business

Peer-to-peer networking technology is changing everyday business.
    6/3/2002
Music file sharing service Napster brought peer-to-peer networking technology to the public consciousness. But even as Shawn Fanning and his cohorts couldn't make the service pay off, other companies are incorporating P2P into their business practices. This book is a primer for managers on P2P technology, demonstrating how file sharing and swapping technology can be applied to your business. Think of P2P as a way for your customers and employees to exchange information and orders directly, just as Napster users easily exchanged music and other files. The business benefits of a soundly implemented P2P network could include improved customer relationships, increased business efficiency, and a broadening of knowledge throughout your organization.
