SAM I am: sales, advertising, and marketing.
    1/14/2002
This Web version of the monthly print magazine SAM, based in Santa Barbara, CA, features on-target articles across the spectrum of sales, advertising, and marketing. The site makes a great resource for the executive who needs a quick overview but doesn't want to be overwhelmed by minutiae. Instead of trekking through countless different sources, one stop at SAM provides insights into sponsorships, direct and integrated marketing, branding, and CRM. The design is lively but easy to read. Interviews with people in the know—Don Laurvick, the VP of business development for UPS International, for example—elaborate on concrete business practices. (And yes, Laurvick did start as a driver!)
