    ShouldExist

    http://www.shouldexist.org/
Why doesn't someone invent a... A site for sharing your great—or even patently ridiculous—ideas.
    4/1/2002
We love this site. It's where you go if you have a great idea you want to share with the world, or an overwhelming need that you want addressed. A recent edition included an idea for an avalanche airbag (protects you from the crushing snow in a mountain slide), parental controls for cars (set a maximum speed when junior is driving), and a radar detector broadcast device (it's called the "P2P Radar Detector"). After you post your idea, readers can comment on its viability or suggest ways to make it work. Also, ShouldExist is a great read if you have time to while away—check out the thread on why light bulbs all last about the same time.
