The Continuing Journey: Stewardship and Useful Case Studies in Philanthropy

Making the case for philanthropic fundraising.
    9/10/2001
Fundraising for philanthropies can be fraught with difficulty—Sturtevant, author of the classic The Artful Journey, admits that he's made "just about every conceivable misstep in fundraising." His current title, The Continuing Journey, takes the guesswork out of the process and lets you benefit from his mistakes—and successes. Case studies guide readers through different fundraising scenarios, including "The Case of the Mega-Prospect," and "The Case of the Disillusioned Prospect." Take the thirty-five question Stewardship Inventory to determine your effectiveness in retaining and maintaining your donor base—Sturtevant will show you how to get to the top "You're doing great!" rating. Although this is a slim (and inexpensive!) volume, the author cuts to the chase with clear, sensible advice—this quick read makes a good bookshelf reference.
