Time magazine's annual picks for inventions of the year are always worth a scan. This year's featured products range from a CD-ROM shredder to an invisibility cloak, from an infrared fever scanner to a snorkel FM radio, from a bicycle built for ice to an oven you can call from your cell phone. The products are categorized under music and fashion, health and safety, gadgets and robots, transportation, extreme sports, and "light and dark." The coolest product of the year? Apple's iTunes music-buying service wins the top choice from editors.
