    Venture Capital: A Euro-System Approach

What you need to understand about venture capital financing in Europe.
    2/16/2004
Ten years ago, venture capital investing hardly existed in Europe outside of the U.K. That has now changed and this book serves to provide an overview of this market, the types of investments taking place, and the unique challenges of venture capital investing in the region. The book's editors, both professors at L. Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, have set out to provide not only an academic overview of the sector and its history but also more practical information on how a venture deal is structured, funding issues, target company valuation, and regulatory considerations. Several case studies on VC investments illustrate the evaluation and financing process. The final section of the book concerns itself exclusively with private equity in Italy.
