A professor's view of the wacky world of finance.

Okay, so maybe finance isn't fun. But it can be entertaining, illuminating, and essential, as this site from University of Tennessee finance professor John Wachowicz proves. The Web site contains the professor's numerous chosen links to magazines articles, essays, tools and financial Web sites, grouped along the lines of his book, Fundamentals of Finance Management. Also included are PowerPoint slides, quizzes, and lessons. The fun here is the serendipity. We dove in to read "Business Ethics From an Islamic Perspective," a tutorial on the Living Yield Curve, and a cheat sheet on evaluating a company's financial data. But its charm is also the site's frustration: If you really want to find something, it can be difficult to track down. (The onboard search engine helps to a degree.)
