Research on the challenges facing financial services

The Financial Institutions Center at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School conducts research on the challenges facing the financial services industry in three broad areas— productivity and performance, financial risks, and the competitive structure of markets and institutions—that cut across all kinds of financial services firms. The results of the Center's research are available here in working papers and conference proceedings. Working papers back to 1994 are accessible by date and searchable in the main working papers sections. They are also grouped by subject (Catastrophic Risk, Insurance, Consumer Credit, M&A and others) under Programs. These academic papers, based on research conducted in partnership with industry, present content that is timely and relevant to those in the field.
