Everything you always wanted to know about tech terms.

The idea for this site was conceived at a dining room table. The creators asked, "Why not be able to point to or click on a word and have information about it magically appear? And why not put this long sheet of clickable words on a display screen?" The result: whatis?, an online resource tool containing over 3,000 individual information technology, Internet, and computer encyclopedic topics and definitions. Fairly easy to navigate, the home page is divided into three areas: "Look it Up" includes definitions for thousands of IT-related terms; "Tech Happenings" has recent news; and "Fast Reference" lists the hottest IT topics. Scroll down to "techtarget," the parent site, for a useful resource providing individual site search engines focused on particular B2B areas.
