World Trade Organization

You'll find information on the recent World Trade Organization Seattle Conference and much more on this information-rich (and multilingual) site. The home page presents news reports, announcements and general information about the WTO, but the bulk of the material is organized in two principal groupings: Trade Topics and Resources. "Trade Topics" includes such issues as Services, Intellectual Property, Environment, Development, and Dispute Settlement. There's not much consistency to the look and feel of these areas, but they are packed with information about key issues and the organization's response to and involvement in them. "Resources" provides access to information by general type, including News Releases, Legal Texts, FAQs, Statistics and an On-line Bookshop. This is a good resource on the workings of the WTO and more general issues of world trade.
